  26. Broadcast professionals use 720 pixels per line active picture and 
  27. either 576 lines (625/50 system) or 487 lines (525/60 system). 
  28. This is a pixel rate of 13.5MHz for both systems and is specified 
  29. as ITU-R BT601-4 last time I looked.  Naturally these are ten bits 
  30. per colour, but they "cheat" on the number of samples for U and V
  31. components, the sum of U (360) and V (360) is the same as just 
  32. in Y (720). Now if the Amiga could have a professional video 
  33. interface, even at only eight bits per component, that would be 
  34. the total market killer!  Oh yes the output interface is on a 
  35. single coax serially multiplexed at 270MHz, cable lengths up to 
  36. 300metres.

  49. Absolute essential.  The choice of flicker fixed or standard 
  50. video is one of many key reasons I stay with Ami. :^)

  52. Professional Audio interface would also be nice, as well as MIDI 
  53. how about AES/EBU serial digital?  With control over sample rates,
  54. and access to the data words. The chips exist and are getting 
  55. very cheap in quantity. Another killer application!
